ST. PAUL — St. Paul police are investigating whether a second male officer is shown in an online photograph dressed in a Muslim woman’s clothing.
Police spokesman Howie Padilla confirms the internal investigation but would not disclose the officer’s name.
The case comes after a photo posted on Twitter this week turned out to be St. Paul police officer dressed as a Muslim woman for Halloween. That officer, Robert Buth of the K-9 unit, has since apologized.
Washington, D.C.-based journalist Mukhtar Ibrahim, who used to live in St. Paul, had asked St. Paul police about the first photo. He did the same Friday after the new photo surfaced.
In response to the photos, St. Paul Police Chief Tom Smith has ordered department-wide cultural diversity training.
