Three people received minor injuries Wednesday morning after a broadside crash on Minnesota Highway 13 in Manchester.
Mackenzie LaCore, 17, of Albert Lea, and her passengers, Daly and Cheyenne Ochoa, no age or city listed, were treated at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The report stated LaCore was driving northbound on Highway 13 in a 2001 four-door Saturn when she attempted to turn onto Freeborn County Road 25 into the path of a 2003 Chevy Cavalier that was southbound on Highway 13.
The Cavalier’s driver, Clint Peltz, 31, of Owatonna, was not injured.
The crash took place at 7:56 a.m.
State Patrol Sgt. Jim Boley said LaCore was cited for failure to yield.
The report did not state whether any of the people in the crash were wearing seat belts.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
