For almost a decade, Albert Leans have grown to know and love Southern Minnesota Magazine, a publication of Albert Lea Tribune Media. Our staff has been dedicated to making this magazine the finest local glossy offering it can be for our readers.

To continue to best satisfy our readers, we will be making a few upcoming changes. Our magazine staff decided that it could better serve our readers by being even more homegrown.

Readers and advertisers will see the first edition of Albert Lea Magazine in April. The goal of this new publication will be to feature more local people and community interests in Albert Lea and Freeborn County. There will be Seen pages, which show local people at area events along with wedding and engagement photos from local couples. We have a Dazzle section with its focus on fashion that will feature local models and style that you can find in our area.

Other features include Live, for articles and tips on lifestyle and romance. And Savor, which features food, drinks and art, which is in abundance in Albert Lea. Another section, Move, will give readers tips and trends in health and fitness. Finally, we have Create. This section will bring you into area homes and gardens and interview firsthand the creative process and idea people behind the activity featured.

We’re already working on numerous features and are so excited for our readers and advertisers to see the first issue. We’re continuing to advance and evolve to best serve you.

We know the changes will continue to serve you, the reader, in the best way imaginable. We want you to be a huge part of this magazine and so please call us with any story ideas and thoughts that will make our endeavor even greater.
