Snowfall total nears 10 inches

The snowfall depth for the Albert Lea area in the Thursday and Friday snowstorm ended up in the range of 8 to 10 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
Wells, Lake Mills, Alden, New Richland, Ellendale, Geneva, Blooming Prairie, Dodge Center and Rochester also fell in the same band on a map of snowfall totals.
Immediately to the east of Rochester, totals were 10 to 12 inches.
Most other areas in southern Minnesota ended up with 4 to 6 inches or 3 to 4 inches, except for a pocket at Fairmont, which also saw 8 to 10 inches.
