Shell Rock River Watershed District officials and other community leaders on Wednesday will lobby in a Senate committee for $7.5 million in state funding for the dredging of Fountain Lake.
The bill, authored by District 27 Sen. Dan Sparks, DFL-Austin, will be heard before the Environment, Economic Development and Agriculture Division in a committee meeting at noon in Room 107 of the Minnesota Capitol.
The Albert Lea City Council passed a resolution during its Monday meeting supporting the dredging project.
