The New-Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls’ basketball team cruised through the first round of the Section 2AA-South Tourament with a 79-9 win over Maple River.

According to a press release, the Panthers forced 32 turnovers and held the Eagles to 2-for-34 shooting from the field.

NRHEG also out-rebounded Maple River 41-12.

Next, the Panthers host Blue Earth at 6 p.m. on Friday.
