NRHEG wrestler goes to wrestlebacks

ST. PAUL — One wrestler from New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva wrestling team made it to the quarterfinal round.
After knocking off Barnesville’s Brady Tweeton in the first round of the state wrestling tournament, Cordell Peterson earned a spot in the 106-pound weight class quarterfinals.
Peterson (28-19) fell to Austin Anderly of LeSueur-Henderson by technical fall, 15-0.
Peterson joins teammate Wyatt Fitterer in the wrestlebacks bracket. Other area grapplers who want to redeem themselves after a loss include Lucas Hansen, Dakota Wangsness, Garrett Wangsness, Trevor Westerlund and Beau Johnsrud of Albert Lea; and Logan Sonnek, Derek Herman and Jacob Gonsalez of United South Central.
