ST. PAUL — After falling in the quarterfinals, Trevor Westerlund fought his way all the way through the consolation bracket of the 113-pound weight class to qualify for the match that decides third place.

Westerlund broke a 3-3 tie to win with a 4-3 decision against Brian Maas of Bemidji in the consolation quarterfinals to qualify.

In the 138-pound weight class, Lucas Hansen lost by an 8-3 decision to Owen Webster of Shakopee. Webster took a 4-1 lead in the first period, but a take down by Hansen in the second period cut his deficit to one point (4-3).  However, Webster earned two late takedowns to seal the win.
