The Albert Lea Fire Department tested the back-up system on emergency sirens this week and found several were in need of repair, according to a news release.

The department will be testing and repairing those sirens next week. People will notice sirens going off and on at odd times.

The primary siren system is fully operational in case of an emergency. It is only the back-up system that is affected.
