The Lake Mills volleyball team created some separation between itself and the rest of the North Iowa Conference Thursday with a 3-0 win over North Iowa.
The Bison were tied for second in the conference entering play, but the Bulldogs (14-2, 5-0 NIC) prevailed in pedestrian fashion with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-11 victory to remain undefeated in conference play.
The Bulldogs got 11 kills from senior Darcy Nelson and Amanda Lampman added six.
Morgan Fjelstad had 20 assists and eight digs to lead Lake Mills.
The Bulldogs are just two wins away from wrapping up their sixth consecutive regular season conference championship. Lake Mills faces West Hancock Tuesday and finishes up the conference season the following Tuesday with Garner-Hayfield at home.
