ALDEN — A semi jackknifed Wednesday morning two miles west of the Alden exit of westbound Interstate 90 and ended up in the ditch.
About 300 feet east of the semi in the same ditch sat a white Toyota Prius. An ambulance was at the location after being called for injuries, though no report was later available on the Minnesota State Patrol website. In addition to troopers, a tow truck was there and a Freeborn County sheriff’s deputy.
The trailer on the truck sat like a bridge across the ditch. On the side of the trailer, in faded letters, read the words, “Henderson Trucking,” an Illinois-based company. However, considering the faded letters, it is possible that the trailer had been sold. It was difficult to spot what words were on the side of the cab.
Down the road, just across the Faribault County line, two people awaited rescue in a Ford pickup that sat deep in snow in the median.
