DULUTH — The owner of the Duluth Huskies said weather likely caused part of a wall at the baseball team’s stadium to collapse.

The top 4 to 6 feet of the 20-foot-tall wall gave way Wednesday night leaving bricks scattered for more than 200 feet outside Wade Stadium in West Duluth. No one was hurt.

In the past year, the city has urged the state Legislature to provide money to refurbish the 72-year-old stadium. Huskies owner Michael Rosenzweig said the damage “just heightens the fact” they “need to get on this project right away.”

Rosenzweig said the wall will be fixed and the team will be playing baseball beginning June 1.
