1 arrested for DWI Sunday

Police arrested Joseph Dale Hamberg, 33, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 2:31 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Sunset Street and Minnesota Highway 13, according to reports.

 

Man arrested for violations

Albert Lea police arrested Philip James Lee, 21, for a probation violation and fifth-degree drug possession with the intent to sell at 7:36 p.m. Saturday at 719 Alcove St., according to reports. Police also cited Derek John Thostenson, 20, for underage drinking.

 

2 cited for shoplifting

Albert Lea police cited Brittany Jane Simpson, 25, and Tommy Lee Brewer, 32, for shoplifting from Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave., at 3:08 p.m. Friday, according to reports.

 

Items stolen from car

A wallet and checkbook were reported stolen from an unlocked car at 1912 Bridge Ave. at 7:43 p.m. Sunday, according to police. The theft reportedly took place sometime over the weekend.
