Albert Lea dancers compete at Just for Kix competition

The Albert Lea Just for Kix teams competed in the United We Dance competition in Waverly, Iowa, at the Wartburg College Sports Center.
The event featured 90 competing teams and over 2,000 performers.
Albert Lea achievements: fourth grade tied for second place, fifth grade earned fourth place, sixth grade won first place, seventh grade earned third place, Jazz fourth through seventh won first place and Jazz eighth through 12th earned second place.
The Albert Lea Just for Kix program is directed by Aimee Struck. The program is in its 17th year of performance, and it includes local area students from age 3 to 12th grade.
“I am very proud of all the dancers and their success. We had a great day with six teams placing against some very tough competition,” Struck said. “The dancers have worked very hard this season, and I am happy for them to earn this recognition.”
Just for Kix is a national leader in dance instruction and is committed to youth advancement through performance.
Based out of Brainerd, the organization has more than 200 locations in 10 states.
