Betty Jean Angulo, 79, of Albert Lea, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at her home. In accordance with her wishes, there will not be a service. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
Betty Jean Angulo was born on Feb. 26, 1934, in Red Wing, the daughter of Harold and Leona (Hall) Lampman. She moved to Albert Lea with her family in the early 1940s. Betty attended Albert Lea High School. She was married to Robert Kappel in Iowa. They farmed in rural Ackley, Iowa, and were later divorced. Betty then moved to California where she married Jesus Angulo. She worked as a machinist in Costa Mesa, Calif. She divorced again and then returned to Albert Lea. Betty dearly loved animals and had a horse named Flika who was very special. She also loved the ocean. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children, Linda (John) Butler, Mike (Rose) Kappel, Gail (Todd Lindaman) Kappel and Cindy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Mangskau; brothers, Thomas and Norman Lampman; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Haroldean Lampman and Ruthann Buetenhoff and brothers, Irvin and James Lampman.
