An Iowa man pleaded guilty Wednesday to selling 28 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agent in February.

Feliciano Guardado Moya, who has gone by the alias of Adalberto DeSantiago, entered the plea in Freeborn County District Court to one count of first-degree meth sales. He is from Des Moines.

Court documents state the sale took place Feb. 8 in the parking lot of Love’s Truck stop. The drug reportedly sold for $1,800.

Assistant Freeborn County Attorney David Walker said Moya, 40, likely will be sentenced to seven years and two months in prison because of the amount of the drug that was sold. The arrest was part of a state investigation involving Moya and his brother.

A second charge of first-degree meth sales — stemming from a separate sale of 2 ounces of meth at the end of February — is expected to be dismissed as part of a plea agreement, Walker said.

Walker said Moya is being held in the Freeborn County jail without bail until his scheduled Aug. 15 sentencing. He is also being held on a U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement hold.
