USC knocks off Mankato Loyola

The United South Central baseball team defeated Mankato Loyola 2-1 Monday.
David Stenzel pitched all seven innings for the Rebels. He struck out five batters and didn’t allow any earned runs or walks.
USC’s timely hits were made by Stenzel and Colin Becher. Stenzel hit an RBI double and Becher was three for three with an RBI.
The Rebels improve to 11-5. They have won four of their last five games.
Mankato Loyola falls to 10-4 after starting the season 8-1.
Next, USC plays at Sleepy Eye at 5 p.m. today.
