Joel Wolleat, 41, Bricelyn

Joel Todd Wolleat, 41, of Bricelyn, died of metastatic colon cancer Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Bricelyn Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Rev. Nancy Drier will officiate and the interment will be in Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery in Bricelyn. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn is in charge of arrangements.

Joel is survived by his wife, Tara; three children: Nadia, Nicholas and Nathaniel, all of Bricelyn; his parents: Paul and Darlene Wolleat of Shoreview; siblings: Alan (Vonetta) Wolleat, Kennewick, Wash.; Eric Wolleat, Lino Lakes; Melody (Erik) Johnson, Arden Hills; in-laws: Lynn and Marilyn Swanson, Isanti: brother-in-law: David (Marcy) Swanson, Burnsville; mother-in-law: Charlene Swanson, Isanti; aunt and uncle: Darlene and Ronald Murray of Roseville; aunt and uncle: Ron and Donna Schelske; aunt: Ethel Boudah and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: grandparents: Charles and Mabel Wolleat and Ervin and Elsie Schelske; infant niece: Solveig Sofia.
