Thanks for support for fireworks

The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce wishes to express its thanks and gratitude to the many individuals and volunteers that made the 2013 Albert Lea Fireworks Fundraiser a success.
We raised just over $16,000 this year and could not have done it without the generosity of everyone who contributed to this event, including sponsors, volunteers and, of course, KATE/KCPI Radio. This is a wonderful display of generosity on the part of our community. There are too many businesses, organizations and citizens to thank individually but the community should be proud of their efforts.
We owe our thanks to KATE/KCPI Radio for making this fundraiser possible. Without their help we would not have been able to get our message out for the entire day. They go above and beyond to make this event successful.
And of course, we need to thank the Chamber Ambassadors, who volunteered to stand on the corners and collect money from the passing motorists.
There are many communities that struggle to pay for fireworks displays on the Fourth of July, but not Albert Lea. This is not only a unique fundraiser; it is a unique community. It is a community that cares enough to get involved. Congratulations to everyone!
Thanks again!
