Lynx Forward is Western Conference Player of the Week

According to a press release, the WNBA named Minnesota Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson its Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, through Sunday. This is Brunson’s first Player of the Week of the season and fourth of her career.
For the week, Brunson led the Lynx to a 1-1 record, highlighted by her 21-point, 17-rebound performance against the Mystics on Saturday. She was 8-of-11 from the floor in Washington, including draining her first career three-pointer, while adding three assists and two blocked shots. The game marked the seventh time in her career she’s posted more than 20 points and more than 10 rebounds in a game, as well as her 56th career point/rebound double-double, including a club-record 30 in a Lynx uniform.
