Norma Carlson, 85, Faribault

Norma Arlene Carlson, 85, of Faribault and formerly of Kiester, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Sterling House of Faribault.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, Faribault, with the Rev. Craig Breimhorst officiating. Interment will be at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kiester, at 5 p.m. Monday.
Visitation will be at Christ Lutheran Church, Faribault, for one hour prior to the services on Monday.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault.
Norma Arlene, the daughter of Albert and Nora (Stoen) Opedahl, was born on July 26, 1927. She graduated from Bricelyn High School. She married Walter R. Albers, and he preceded her in death. Norma later married Wallace Carlson, and he also preceded her in death. She was employed at Bud’s Cafe in Bricelyn for many years. Norma enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, playing cribbage, doing handiwork and especially spending time with her family. She was a caregiver and was active in supporting the Faribault County Area Hospice of Blue Earth.
She is survived by four children, David (Tamra) Albers of Faribault, Pat (David) MacRunnels of Faribault, Brenda (Mike) Crissinger of Morristown and Paul (Cary) Albers of St. Peter; one daughter-in-law, Becca Albers of Eagle Grove, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-children; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; one son, John Albers; and two sisters, Esther Huston and Iva Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to Faribault County Area Hospice of Blue Earth.
