Advertising salesperson Catherine Buboltz has been promoted to advertising director at the Tribune.
Buboltz, 47, has worked in advertising sales since 2009. Prior to that she worked in wholesale travel sales.
“I’ve been in sales and marketing my whole life,” Buboltz said. “I wanted to take a more active role at the Tribune.”
Buboltz said she is looking forward to the opportunity to come up with new ideas to help customers grow their businesses. One area she is excited about is helping customers understand how using the Internet can help their business.
“The web is where people go to get their information,” Buboltz said. “We can help our customers see the value in reaching the audience there.”
Buboltz succeeds Crystal Miller, who was named the Tribune’s publisher last week. Miller said Buboltz is organized and passionate about her work.
“We are so blessed to have great people who are ready to step up,” Miller said.
Buboltz lives in Albert Lea with her husband, Bruce, who works at Mrs. Gerry’s. They have a goldendoodle named Sydney. In her free time Buboltz enjoys knitting, bicycling, nordic walking and traveling. Buboltz is the Albert Lea Daybreakers Kiwanis vice president and a board member for both Community Education and the Vitality Center.
