You Can Help

The following are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.
Girl Scouts: The scout troops are ready to learn about your special hobby or share a leadership experience with you. More girls can be served when more volunteers step forward for just three or four hours per month. Call Mary at Girl Scout Council of River Trails 507-219-9031 or e-mail mgoetz@rivertrails.org to get connected and get growing. For Boy Scouts, contact Paula Nuessmeier at 507-520-1055 or e-mail paula@twinvalleybsa.org.
Red Power Round-Up: June 2011 is ‘Marching’ closer! As a ticket booth volunteer for the Red Power Round-Up, you’ll meet folks saluting the historical lines of International Harvester, IH, and Farmall Tractors, the Big Red equipment. They come from around the nation, Europe and South Africa for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Ask for Pat at Senior Resources 377-7433, to get the rest of the details and sign up for the ticket booth schedule as often as you’d like during the run of the Round-Up June 21-25.
RSVP, sponsored by Senior Resources of Freeborn County, receives some funding through the United Way of Freeborn County, Minnesota Board on Aging, and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
