1989 — Kent Reeves of Adrian, Mich., became the general manager /publisher of the Albert Lea Tribune. He replaced Vern Brown who would be the publisher of the Ashland, Ohio, Times-Gazette.

1979 — A two-page ad in the Tribune featured the Dollar Days bargains at Albert Lea’s Montgomery Ward store in the Skyline Shopping Center.

1969 — The Albert Lea High School boys’ basketball team defeated the team from Hayfield High School with a score of 60-50 to win the District Two title.
