The medical clinic in Blooming Prairie is closed until it can replace staff.
Mayo Clinic Health System in Blooming Prairie temporarily closed Wednesday because of a staffing shortage, according to a press release.
Tammy Kritzer, operations administrator, said patients can go to a Mayo Clinic Health System hospital in Austin or Owatonna, where patient medical records are available through their electronic medical record system.
“We apologize for this inconvenience to our patients in Blooming Prairie,” she said. “We know this will change where patients receive their care, but we are confident they will receive the same high level of care at one of our nearby locations.”
The clinic’s anti-coagulation clinic will still be on Sept. 11, and the clinic’s pharmacy will continue to operate as usual, the release said.
“We will do everything we can to make patients’ transitions of care to other locations as smooth as possible,” Kritzer said.
Patients with scheduled appointments have been contacted for rescheduling. Any questions can be directed to Kritzer, at 507-434-1284.
