The 10th annual Veteran Appreciation Day will be at the American Legion in St. Ansgar, Iowa, on Saturday. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Spouses and children are welcome.

A polka band will play and a lunch will be served. Bring photos and memorabilia to share with others. There will be three discussion groups: World War II, Korean War era and a new addition is the spouses discussion group.

The master of ceremonies will be Liz Strofus of Faribault, the recipient of the congressional gold medal.
