Get rid of syndicated radio programming
Published 1:59 pm Saturday, September 5, 2009
For at least 50 or more years, I have turned on KATE early in the morning and just left it on all day. I liked the area and local happenings and news. All of a sudden, they have some syndicated “junk” on all afternoon.
I always enjoyed Steve Oman anytime he was on, but, particularly, his afternoon interviews. They were about local people, about local happenings. Well, when the syndicated “junk” started, I turned off the radio completely until early the next morning. Quite a few people I know now listen to Austin radio to get our local news.
I guess I’m just sick of a lot of things right now — losing Steve, sick and tired of people, government and business “stuffing things down my throat” without even a care about what anyone else thinks or wants.
I want my Steve Oman back; I want to know about local events and people and news. Take that other syndicated crap and shove it! Thank you.
