Ivan Legried, 71, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Ivan R. Legried, of Albert Lea, formerly of Burnsville, will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.
The Rev. Kent Otterman officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville. Military honors will be accorded by Albert Lea veterans organizations. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the funeral home.
Ivan died on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Albert Lea. He was 71.
He was born on March 14, 1942, in Geneva, the son of Raymond and Iva (Fogerty) Legried. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and then proudly served the country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He married Judith Ann Whipple on Nov. 26, 1966.
Ivan had lived and worked in Missouri, Albert Lea, Burnsville, and then returned to Albert Lea as a resident of Good Samaritan Society a few years ago.
His life’s work had included working for Metal Sales, building commercial air conditioners and driving school bus.
He will be missed by his son Randy Allen Legried of Burnsville, sister Sylvia Meuser of Albert Lea, aunt Shirley Fogerty of Albert Lea and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judith, sisters Eleanor Carlsgaard and her husband Arlen and Bonnie Tuttle and her husband James.
Family will remember Ivan as very generous, kind hearted, with a keen sense of humor.
