Woman arrested for DWI

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Emily Jane Red, 27, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at the intersection of Freeborn County roads 35 and 26 at 12:37 a.m. Sunday, according to reports. A deputy cited Marc William Horan, 30, for an open container violation.

 

Pop machine broken into

A pop machine was reported broken into at 8:48 a.m. Friday at 19449 780th Ave., Albert Lea, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. The break-in reportedly took place Thursday night.

 

Counterfeit bill reported

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 1452 W. Main St. at 9:43 a.m. Friday, according to Albert Lea police.

 

Wallet reported stolen

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at 802 Fairlane Terrace at 9:58 a.m. Friday. It was reportedly stolen on Wednesday.

 

Items stolen from vehicles

A pistol, a flashlight and a jar of quarters were reported stolen from a pickup at 10:08 a.m. Friday at 705 S. Third Ave., according to police. The theft took place Thursday night.

An iPod and charger were reportedly taken from a vehicle at 1330 Dunham St. at 8:32 a.m. Sunday. The theft reportedly took place the night before.

 

Rope lighting stolen

About 36 feet of rope lighting valued at $20 was reported stolen from 2301 Gene Ave. at 6:34 p.m. Friday, according to police.

 

3 cited for marijuana

Three juveniles were cited for small amounts of marijuana after police received a report of a suspicious white truck and black car at 100 W. Hawthorne St., according to reports.

 

Church broken into

A church at Abundant Life United Church, 408 E. 18th St., was reported broken into at 9:58 p.m. Friday, according to police.

 

Police cite for marijuana, underage drinking

Albert Lea police cited Michael Bernal, 22, for a small amount of marijuana at 12:18 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of South Broadway and East Clark Street. Two juveniles were cited for underage drinking, and Oscar Leonard Galvan, 19, was arrested on local warrants, according to reports.

 

Items stolen from hotel room

A hair dryer, iron and coffee maker were reported stolen from a room at Comfort Inn, 810 Happy Trails Lane, at 12:36 p.m. Friday, according to police.

 

Garage broken into

Items were reported stolen out of a garage at 302 E. 11th St. at 9:34 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

 

1 cited for underage drinking

Albert Lea police cited a juvenile for underage drinking at 526 W. College St. at 10:51 p.m. Saturday, according to reports.

 

Man arrested for assault

Albert Lea police arrested Jason Lee Beloate, 32, for felony domestic assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing justice at 8:14 p.m. Sunday at 2313 Milo Ave., according to reports.

 

2 cited for trespassing

Albert Lea police cited Anthony Gary Gutoski and Denise Marie Patters for trespassing after they were reportedly found climbing the city water tower on Newton Avenue at 9:28 p.m. Saturday, according to reports.
