Freeborn County Commissioner Christopher Shoff was one of 24 county leaders from across the country selected to participate in this year’s National Association of Counties County Leadership Institute program June 3-6 in Washington. The program is offered in partnership with Cambridge Leadership Associates to help county officials identify and implement solutions to challenges facing their communities.
This year’s program focused on the demands of personal leadership in a new era of government.
Shoff said it was an honor to participate in the program.
“Freeborn County and counties across the country are facing increasingly complex challenges,” Shoff said. “I am hopeful the practical applications we discussed over the four days will help me become a more insightful and effective public servant.”
The County Leadership Institute program curriculum was developed specifically for the National Association of Counties by Cambridge Leadership Associates co-founder Marty Linsky who has taught at Harvard’s Kennedy School for more than 25 years.
