Shirley Hegwood, 82, Albert Lea

Shirley Ann Hegwood, of Albert Lea, died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Regions Medical Center in St. Paul. Friends may greet the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea.
Shirley was born Feb. 14, 1931, in St. Cloud, the daughter of Lyle and Lucille (Atman) Baker. She was a graduate of Park Rapids High School and on Jan. 30, 1951, was united in marriage to Lowell (Skinner) Hegwood.
Shirley had made her home in Albert Lea since 1969 and had worked for the Wilson & Co. and Farmstead. She was also part owner and operator of the Nasty Habit Bar in Albert Lea.
Shirley was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, loved music and was an exceptional organist.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Bladine of Brooklyn Park, Greg Hegwood of Plymouth, Brad and his wife, Cindy, Hegwood of Albert Lea, and Scott and his wife, Lori, Hegwood of Eau Claire, Wis.; grandchildren, Nicole Bladine, Tyler Hegwood and fiancee, Jenna Vogelsang, Evan Hegwood, Cassie Hegwood, Corrie Hegwood and Colton Hegwood; one brother, Tom Baker of Rice; and one sister, Cathy Engstrom and fiancée Bill Evans of Maple Grove. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Diva.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Lowell (Skinner).
