Leaders attack social safety net

Older adults are wondering how to survive on a fixed income as the price of gasoline, utilities, food, clothing, taxes, health care and medicines continue to go up. At the same time, our legislators in St. Paul and Congress in Washington want to cut our Social Security and pension income. It doesn’t add up. Protect the safety net, and don’t balance the budget on the backs of retirees.
