Rochester company looking for youth and adult poetry

Southeastern Libraries Cooperating, in Rochester, is looking for original unpublished poetry for publication in a regional poetry anthology. Submissions may be made between Nov. 1 and Dec. 16.

There are two different categories: poetic strokes and word flow.

Guidelines for poetic strokes include:

• Poets must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha or Winona counties.

• Must be typed.

• Can be sent by email to poetry@selcom.info or to 2600 19th St. NW, Rochester.

• Two poems can be submitted, each limited to three pages.

• Include a one-page cover sheet containing the title of the poem, name, age, address and phone number.

Guidelines for word flow include:

• Poets must be 14 to 18 years old or in high school and reside in Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steel, Wabasha or Winona counties

• Must be submitted by email to wordflow@selco.info.

• Include a one-page cover sheet containing the title of the poem, name, age, address and phone number.

• Only one poem is accepted and is not to exceed three pages.
