Here are highlights in history for March 11, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — A news item in the Tribune said former resident Marion Ross would be coming to the city in May to star in the play, “Love Letters.”

1983 — The Minnesota Association of Community Theatres Festival and Competition was being held at the Albert Lea Civic Theatre over the weekend.

1953 — Famous opera singer, Marion Anderson, sang at the Albert Lea High School Auditorium as part of the local Civic Music season.
