Summer events wind down this weekend as school starts next week.

The Bayside Skiers Water Ski Show Team will present its final “Bayside Under the Big Top” show of the season at 2 p.m. Monday at Edgewater Park. Pre-show activities, featuring the younger skiers, start at 1:15 p.m. There is no admission charge, but the club does pass the hat to help defray expenses.

Also on Monday, “Good Morning America” will be back in Albert Lea to continue its coverage of the AARP/Blue Zones Vitality Project. The “Good Morning America” crew will join the community for a Labor Day Vitality Project breakfast picnic potluck at Pioneer Park, with a live shot airing sometime between the 7 and 8 a.m. hour. The public is invited to arrive at the park by 6:30 a.m. People are encouraged to wear their Vitality Project T-shirts, to bring a picnic blanket and to bring signs that indicate the names of their walking moais. For the breakfast potluck, people should use their creativity and knowledge of longevity foods to create a breakfast dish.

The Shortstop Golf Tournament is also taking place this Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Green Lea Golf Course.

Friday, Sept. 4

 The Pelican Breeze will hold a pizza cruise from 6 to 7:30 pm. Reservations are needed by 4 p.m.; call 383-2630.

 The Old Car Company will hold a cruise starting in the North Broadway Avenue parking lot at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 5

The Albert Lea Farmers Market will be open in the North Broadway Avenue parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon.

 The Pelican Breeze will hold a public cruise from 4 to 5:30 p.m. No reservations are needed.

Sunday, Sept. 6

 The Golden K Kiwanis Club will host a Dad’s Belgian Waffles breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fairlane Community Building on the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. All-you-can-eat waffles, toppings, orange juice, coffee and sausage will be served. Cost is $6 for adults. Children 5 and younger eat free.

The Pelican Breeze will hold a public cruise from 1:30 to 3 p.m. No reservations are needed.
