David and Evonne Schlobohm, of Byron, and Tim and Sheila Matson, of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their children, Stacy Schlobohm and Arik Matson.

Grandmother of Stacy is Louise Schlobohm, of Faribault.

Grandparents of Arik are Janice Matson, Ray and Joyce Langerud, all of Albert Lea.

Stacy is a 2005 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2009 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a bachelor’s of science in elementary education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education through Winona State University. She is employed with Rochester Public School District teaching third grade.

Arik is a 2006 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2009 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a bachelor’s of science degree in law enforcement. He is employed as a patrol deputy with the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

A wedding is planned for Aug. 20, 2011, in Albert Lea.
