OAKLAND — A 38-year-old Ellendale man was injured Wednesday afternoon after his vehicle reportedly went off the road and into a ditch near Oakland.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office stated Craig Edward Fuller was driving a 1999 Dodge Dakota northbound on Freeborn County Road 34 near the road’s intersection with gravel 210th Street when he went into the west ditch and hit a field drive and vaulted through the air.

He was extricated from the vehicle by the Austin Fire Department and was transported to the Austin hospital, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The crash took place at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday.

There was no indication why the crash took place.
