GLENVILLE — Poet Biorefining on Thursday announced the new general manager of its ethanol plant west of Glenville.

Steve McNinch will lead the Poet Glenville site. He was the CEO of Western Plains Energy. Prior to that, McNinch was the polyurethane manager with Belleville Shoe Manufacturing Co. Along with his experience, he brings his master of business administration and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southwestern College.

McNinch reports to Regional Vice President Tim Voegele. According to a news release, McNinch is responsible for accomplishing the company’s production goals, ensuring the plant operates in a safe, efficient and profitable manner and for maintaining all business operations of the biorefinery.
