The Albert Lea Retired Educators will meet for a noon luncheon on Thursday at America’s Best Value Inn.

Sonya Zieske, gifted and talented coordinator for the Albert Lea School District, will describe the district’s program, which is an effort to provide programming and opportunities for students will special abilities.

A cash donation will be solicited for the Albert Lea Education Foundation’s teacher grants. The grants are awarded to teachers who present special classroom needs or develop programs not covered by the district budget.

All retired educational personnel are welcome and encouraged to attend.
