The Freeborn County Historical Society will host a program at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the museum in the meeting room for a recap of President John F. Kennedy’s life in office and discussion of the assassination.

It will be an opportunity for the public to hear from local people who were involved or have studied the event of the past and to also remember Kennedy.

The local personnel sharing information will be Robert Bailey, a retired pastor who was serving as an insturctor at the Naval School of Music in Washington, D.C., Robert Indrelie, a retired UPS driver who was serving in the military police stationed at Fort Meyers and duty at Arlington cemetery, and Gary Schindler, dean of students at Riverland Community College who has studied and researched evidence associated with the assassination for more than 30 years and taught classes at North Dakota State University.

The program will last about two hours. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and coffee and donuts will be available. Admission is free for Freeborn County Historical Society members and $5 for nonmembers.
