Pilot reports smoke in cockpit in Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A plane was evacuated when the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit shortly after the flight arrived in Grand Rapids.
Gerald R. Ford International Airport spokeswoman Tara Hernandez said Delta Flight 751 from St. Paul touched down just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, and the pilot alerted the airport’s communication center of the smoke.
According to Hernandez, fire personnel responded and all 151 passengers evacuated the plane within 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.
Officials are trying to figure out what caused the smoke.
