Marilyn Nichols, 78, Albert Lea

Marilyn J. Nichols, 78, formerly of Alden, died on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus will officiate and interment will be at Alden Cemetery in Alden. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Marilyn was born on May 3, 1935, in Webster City, Iowa, to Ejner and Evelyn (Kelting) Dyvad. She was united in marriage to Bruce Nichols June 15, 1957, in Webster City. She worked at Hy-Vee in Albert Lea, and everyone still remembers her smiling face. Marilyn enjoyed life with her husband, Bruce, and their dog, Gwendolyn.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Bruce; son Tim; and niece, Holly Cooper, from Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Dyvad; nephew, Todd Dyvad; and son, Thomas Nichols.
