Southwest Middle School orientation meetings will be held in the gym on Tuesday for seventh- and eighth-graders and their parents.

Students and parents should attend one mandatory information session at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. The 5:30 p.m. session will be a bilingual session with Spanish interpretation. The building will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Students will pick up their schedules at this time and have their student ID pictures taken.

Students may tour the facility and meeting their teachers.

The food service staff will be available to accept prepayments for school lunches.

The first day of school is Sept. 8.

Sports sign-up continues at the city Parks and Recreation office through today.

Letters with detailed information have been mailed to all students. If you did not receive a mailing, call the school office at 379-5240.
