Jordan Daniel Mutschler, 22, of Bricelyn, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in a snowmobile accident in northern Minnesota. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Revs. Don Rose and Katie Pals will officiate and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in rural Kiester. Jordan was born Sept. 27, 1991, in Albert Lea, the second son born to Jonathan and Jennifer (Sunding) Mutschler. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester. While in high school, Jordan loved playing football and was active with FFA and farming. He was well known around school for his infectious personality and overwhelming smile. He graduated from United South Central High School in 2010 and from South Central College with a degree in agriculture management in 2012. Jordan’s passion was farming and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and hanging out with his buddies. He was a volunteer with the Walter Fire Department. Friends and family will always remember him as being very caring.
Jordan is survived by his parents Jon and Jennifer of Bricelyn; two brothers Brandon of Minneapolis and Blake of Brookings, S.D.; grandparents Duane (Bonnie) Mutschler of Stillwater, Sharon (Jon) Rettke of Hemet, Calif., and John (Kathy) Sunding of Hermosa, S,D,; aunts and uncles Kim (Steve) Jelinek of Stillwater, Kim (Joe) Balabon of Phoenix, Ariz., Brian (Susie) Mutschler of Tokyo, Japan, Lisa Sunding of Kiester and Sara Salisbury of Wells; and cousins Zach, Ashlyn, Josie, Keira, Zoe, Mia, Nick and Cody.
