Agency volunteering with: Senior Resources
How long have you been involved with Senior Resources, and how did you get started volunteering?
I started volunteering with Senior Resources in the fall of 2012. I stopped in to their office to volunteer for the children’s day at the Big Island Rendezvous. While I was in the office visiting with the RSVP coordinator, she asked if I would like to volunteer as an office worker in the Senior Resources office. I did.
What is the agency’s impact in our community?
The agency helps senior citizens and others with a wide range of services to help them stay in their homes and live well.
How can others volunteer and get involved?
There are many places in town that are looking for volunteers.
Just decide what type of activity you would enjoy helping with or that you would be good at, and call and volunteer.
