Central Freeborn Lutheran Church
On Dec. 22, the Sunday schoolers at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church took over the Sunday service. They did the entire service including the opening, offering and closed with the Christmas program in the middle.
Teri Rauenhorst, a member of the church, wrote the program and the Sunday schoolers did an excellent job of making her writing into a presentation to a live audience. The moms, dads, grandparents, uncles, aunts and all in attendance were most impressed.
Rauenhorst, at rehearsal, had taken pictures that she incorporated into the Sunday bulletin. Many of the pictures were also shown on a big screen that the audience could see. The pictures depicted the part in the program at each given time.
The program ended with the participants in a huddle (like the Vikings) shouting, “We think God is really great.” It closed with fists and arms pumped in the air, a loud thunderous all together shout, “Amen!”
