The Albert Lea varsity dance team took second place out of nine teams in the high kick competition on Jan. 4 at the Belle Plaine invite. Albert Lea’s first-year junior varsity dance team performed for the first time and took second place out of seven teams in the high kick competition. Team captains are Christina Schmidt, Angie Schmitt, Katelyn Hendrickson and Taylor Martinez. The dance team head coach is Allison Ciota.
