Church to hold celebration for seeking peace in life

Church Women United will hold a human rights celebration, “Seeking Shalom,” at First Presbyterian Church, Friday, Sept. 4. Coffee hour will be at 9:15 a.m. and the program at 9:45 a.m. All women and men are invited to come together to seek shalom in their lives.
Eleanor Roosevelt was U.S. delegate to the United Nations General Assembly was instrumental in drafting the universal declaration of human rights in 1948. Recognizing this we hope to focus on peace in this world by having those individuals who work quietly and peacefully to make a difference in our community.
Committee members are: Bev Haugen, Joan Reymen, Irene Weber, Donna Rice and Marilyn Stegenga.
