The Albert Lea area should be very thankful to have the Albert Lea Art Center.
Those who have a talent in painting can share their talent with others, to encourage them to be creative in whatever talent they have.
The Art Center displayed my son’s paintings from the middle of November until the end of January. Many relatives and friends have visited the Art Center to see his paintings. Stephen Froiland was my son, who died in March 2007 from Crohn’s disease that later turned to cancer. He took his training in the Minnesota School of Fine Arts in Minneapolis. He also taught art in two different schools in Minneapolis. He also taught art in two different schools in Minneapolis. He also taught art at the Albert Lea night school.
Stephen loved nature and the universe and enjoyed painting it to share with others. He also painted in Norway on our last visit there.
The Art Center has been so kind and is very excited to share people’s talents with others.
One of the art schools in Minneapolis built a new school. Stephen was hoping to teach in that new school, but his health failed. In front of the new school, they built a monument and they put Stephen’s name on one of the bricks in gratitude for what he had done for their school and the several years he taught there.
