Albert Lea police arrested Humberto Remon Alvarez, 53, for third-degree driving while intoxicated, felony fleeing from police, driving after suspension and child endangerment after a traffic stop at 3:57 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Mill Street and South Washington Avenue.

Police arrested Timothy Paul Newman, 56, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and allowing an open bottle violation after a traffic stop at 1:53 a.m. today at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Main Street. Stephylee Tahmos Elod Benitez, 23, was cited for an open container violation.

 

Burglary reported

A house was reported broken into at 407 S. Independence Ave., Clarks Grove, at 5:22 p.m. Thursday. The burglars reportedly gained access through the kitchen window.

 

2 arrested on violations

Police arrested Nicholas Lee Tuttle, 31, and Wayne Foster Tuttle, 28, for parole violations at 5:49 p.m. Thursday at 709 E. Hawthorne St.
